The second round of judging has just been completed for the AOP Photographers Awards 2008, and with a record number of entries, competition was tough. There were over 2,000 entries (resulting in over 4,000) images, from 410 Full and Provisional Members, entering 18 categories with Commissioned and Personal work.

It was a tough task for our 20 judges to select the images for the 2008 Exhibition and Awards Book, but over two days last week, the second round of judging was completed and the final images were selected.

The judging sessions were chaired by Alan Brooking, ex AOP Chairman, photographer and art director, who supervised and oversaw the 20 other judges, managing contrasting opinions and pushing forward the decision making process.

The AOP Photographers Awards will take place on Wednesday 19th March 2008 at Sadlers Wells.
